Eghosa Alao obtained an aerospace engineering degree at Texas A&M with a minor in business and a certificate in holistic engineering leadership. He has completed three internships with Northrop Grumman as a Vehicle Engineering Intern, and has previous research experience in the Texas A&M University Advanced Vertical Flight Lab. Additionally, he previously served as the Programs Chair and Pre-Collegiate Initiative Chair for the Texas A&M National Society of Black Engineers (TAMU NSBE) chapter. Currently, he is the co-founder and president of EarlyBirds Initiative, a youth STEAM outreach non-profit organization for disadvantaged populations. His aerospace interests include renewable energy, VTOL, and fluid/electric propulsion.
Luis Cantu Gomez
Luis is a senior majoring in aerospace engineering with a minor in mathematics from Monterrey, Mexico. During his time with the NUA2NCED Laboratory, he worked on designing problems for Sketch Mechanix, a software used for helping engineering students understand basic mechanics and structures problems. He previously worked on data analytics and developing API’s for a private retail energy provider in Texas. He is a certified private pilot working on an instrument rating as well as having experience in MIG/Arc welding. He plans on having a career in numerical simulation or flight system design.
Cristina Morilla
Cristina obtained an Aerospace Engineering degree at Texas A&M and is from Houston, Texas. Cristina currently works as a Systems Integration and Test Engineer at Textron in Towson, Maryland. During her time with the NUA2NCED Laboratory as an undergraduate research assistant, she focused on artistic design and UI development on the Space Traffic Jam! project. She was also the Avionics Team Lead for the AIAA Design Build Fly project team. Cristina has a passion for flight and plans on pursuing her private pilot’s license. Her plans for the future are to get a master’s degree and pursue a career in the design or manufacturing of aerospace systems.
Fernando Sesma
Fernando obtained an aerospace engineering degree with a minor in mathematics in 2021 and is from Austin, Texas. Fernando currently works as a Software Engineer at Dell Technologies in Austin, Texas. During his time with the NUA2NCED Laboratory, Fernando performed game development and programming for the Space Traffic Jam! project. He previously worked in TAMU’s Rocket Engine Design team and worked with Covetrus on founding an engineering startup in the field of veterinary medicine. Fernando’s primary aerospace interests include thermodynamics, experimental aircraft, and flight simulation. He plans to later get his master’s degree and have a career in aircraft design or flight test engineering.
